The Salon Shop & Brow Bar in the Dayton Main Street business district marked its Grand Opening on Friday, February 10, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Dayton Mayor Virgil Boruske cut the ribbon and other city officials and community members were on hand to celebrate.

The salon, located at 513 Sixth Avenue in Dayton, is owned and operated by Niki Playsic, a resident of the city who has built a following as an independent hairdresser over the past four years.

The City of Dayton partnered with Plavsic in opening the new salon through assistance from the city of Dayton’s Community Commercial Advantage Program (CCAP) Incentive Program.

In addition to cuts, styles and other traditional salon services, the salon offers a brow bar, waxing services and eyelash extensions, as well as special bridal packages and parties.
