Soon the decorations will come down and ornaments will be put away another year. And for those who celebrate Christmas with a natural tree, it’s time to take that down, too.
In the cities of Bellevue and Dayton, which both contract with Republic Services for trash and recycling, trees can be put out on the curb on your regular trash pick-up day. There is no charge.
Trees must be bagged and cannot be more than seven feet tall. If they are taller, they must be cut down to fit.
For those of us having a bit of trouble letting go so soon of the holiday season, the service will pick up trees until January 10.
