Today at 12:30 p.m., Dayton Police were dispatched to Jamestown Apartments on Clay St. in Dayton for a call of a white male running around with a gun.
Campbell County Dispatch sent a call to other local departments, including Bellevue and Fort Thomas. Local Dayton Schools were locked down.
Within 15 minutes, the subject, a 21-year old, was apprehended. At that time, police determined that the gun was a toy.
Police determined that the incident was “a cruel joke” and that the toy gun had been confiscated.
No word on charges, for the person involved.
