Dayton, KY high school seniors paint the town!

by Cathy Volter

img_0592Dayton High School‘s Seniors had a beautiful fall day to celebrate their right to passage of being a Senior. They painted the Ervin Terrace underpass. This tradition has been celebrated for several years. Most recently, the task has been orchestrated as a safe, coordinated event for the Seniors. Ms. Rian Starnes Embry, Senior Class Sponsor, as well as Science Teacher, organized and supervised the painting. She recalled painting the underpass when she was a senior,,,when it wasn’t an authorized event. Ms. Embry was at the underpass bright and early on Saturday morning, with the Senior students, as Ken Rankle volunteered and assembled his scaffolding for the students. Jeff Volter provided water and donuts, while Joe Neary provided 6 hours of traffic control. As evident by the pictures, this is what memories are made of! Congratulations to the DHS Class of 2017!!!
