Walk the Avenue for “EMA” and “SARAH” as you complete the scavenger hunt to win an awesome “Power of Purple” gift basket on Saturday, March 21 from 11 to 3 pm.  Stop by and visit the “Walk the Avenue” tables to pick up your entry form before heading out to visit each of the participating businesses to find your scavenger hunt clues.

Visitors will have loads of fun while helping raise awareness about elder abuse. Elder abuse is the infliction of physical, emotional, or psychological harm on an older adult. Elder abuse also can take the form of financial exploitation or intentional or unintentional neglect of an older adult by the caregiver.  Donations for the “SARAH” program are welcome to help provide needed funds to assist in protecting older adults.

This event is hosted by Northern KAl McLaughlin Fairfield Aveentucky Elder Maltreatment Alliance (EMA) and the Alliance’s program SARAH (Shelter, Advocating, Removing and Housing) in partnership with Bellevue Renaissance and the Northern Kentucky Area Development District (NKADD).  NKADD’s program, the Aging and Disability Resource Center, provides information on aging and disability programs and services in Boone, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Owen, and Pendleton Counties.  The Aging and Disability Resource Center is an initiative of the Older American’s Act.  There is no fee for services provided by this program.
